Urology treatment in Iran for Iraqi patients

Urological problems are common, often uncomfortable to discuss, and highly treatable. Iran's urologists perform large numbers of prostate, kidney stone, and reconstructive operations using laser and endoscopic techniques that mean little or no cutting. Hemrah arranges discreet consultations, fast diagnostics, and surgery dates confirmed before you travel.

Urology & men's health in Iran — what to expect

Urology in Iran is a mature specialty with dedicated kidney-stone centers, prostate units, and andrology clinics. Kidney stones are treated by shock-wave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy with laser, or percutaneous surgery depending on size and position. Enlarged prostate is treated by TURP or laser enucleation, and prostate cancer by robotic or open surgery and radiotherapy with oncology colleagues. Male infertility — varicocele repair and sperm retrieval — is coordinated with our IVF partners so that couples can complete evaluation and treatment on one trip.

What Hemrah takes care of

  • Imaging and laboratory workup completed within 1–2 days of arrival
  • Laser and endoscopic treatment with short hospital stays

Common questions about Urology & men's health in Iran

Can I have a prostate biopsy and surgery on the same trip?+

Biopsy results take 5–7 days. Many patients have the biopsy on a first short visit or in Iraq, and return for surgery once the plan is clear; alternatively you can stay in Iran for about two weeks to complete both. Your coordinator will plan whichever is easier for you.

Will my consultation be private?+

Yes. Consultations take place in private clinics, with a male coordinator if you prefer, and your information is shared only with your treating doctors.

Is kidney stone treatment painful?+

Laser ureteroscopy and PCNL are performed under anesthesia. Discomfort afterwards is mild and short-lived, and you are usually ready to fly within 3–5 days.
